Today is the day to vote for change. Unless you’re satisfied with the status quo its the only chance you get as a voter to authoritatively make changes to your government.
How’s that status quo working out for you?

A little closer to home we’ve got a county board that voted 16-8 that Waste Management of Illinois siting application to bury 17 counties’ garbage in the richest farmland soil in the nation met Criterion 3:
The facility is located so as to minimize incompatibility with the character of the surrounding area and to minimize the effect on the value of the surrounding property.
Well, if they don’t think so much of us why should we vote for them?
Change is needed in our government. In every phase. But for those feeling disenfranchised because they thought they voted for change in 2008? Top down doesn’t work unless you like trickles. Change is needed from the bottom–up.
