NIU Opening Day is this Thursday, August 22nd. Welcome Days 2013 is packed full of events to help new students learn all about being a Huskie.
Move in assistance is available from 9 AM to 3 PM on Opening Day. As you near campus on Opening Day, the NIU Police Officers will assist in directing you through the traffic patterns to your residence hall. Once you arrive at the residence hall, students will go inside to check in to their room and get their key. While the student is checking in, the Team NIU Volunteers will assist in unloading the student’s belongings (9 AM – 3 PM). Once belongings are unloaded, please plan on parking in the lot that officers direct you to.
