Craft beer lovers: it’s time to shake off those winter blues, break out those pretzel necklaces and come taste some brews! Join us for the inaugural Barb City Brewfest at the NIU Convocation Center in DeKalb this Saturday, March 25, 2017. From 1:00p.m. – 4:30p.m. Visit over 40 craft breweries and enjoy 80+ different craft beers and hard ciders from the region and around the country. In addition to the sampling, attendees can purchase food and enjoy beer culture with activities and music.
There are three ways to enjoy the fest: Early Entry with special perks, General Admission for the standard brew fest experience, and it’s always important to bring a Designated Driver.
Early Entry tickets are $52 and include 1-hour early admission at 12pm, 20 drink tickets, access to specialty beer offerings (before everyone else) and a commemorative sampling glass. General Admission tickets are $42 and include festival admission at 1pm, 18 drink tickets and a commemorative sampling glass. Designated Driver tickets are $17 and include unlimited soda and water at the DD tent. (note: DDs must be 21+ and cannot consume alcohol at the festival)
Tickets are sale on Ticket Master and at the Convocation Center box office. The NIU Convocation Center is located at 1525 W. Lincoln Hwy. in DeKalb.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Barbed Wire Betties, a not for profit 501(C)(3) organization, with a mission of fostering the amateur sport of Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby in DeKalb County Illinois. The Barb City Brewfest is a Brew Avenue Events production.
