DeKalb County Treasurer Christine J. Johnson would like to remind taxpayers that the first installment of real estate taxes is due Today, Monday, June 4, 2018. Taxes may be paid at most county banks, by mail, on-line, or in person at the Treasurer’s Office at the DeKalb County Administration Building, 110 East Sycamore Street in Sycamore from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Treasurer’s Office accepts online tax payments using Master Card, American Express, Discover Card or Visa credit or debit cards, or by E-check. Taxpayers can also pay using Master Card, American Express, Discover Card, or Visa credit or debit cards in person at the Treasurer’s office. Please note that the credit card service provider will charge a convenience fee for those wishing to pay their real estate taxes by credit card, debit card, or E-check.
In order to pay taxes online, taxpayers should visit the DeKalb County website at www.dekalbcounty.org and click on the “Pay My Property Tax” link in red text. From inside the wEdge link, search by parcel number, or name, or site address. You will find it helpful to have your tax bill at hand when making your payment online.
If you mail your payment, the stub on the bottom of your tax bill should accompany your payment. Please put your parcel number on your check to insure proper credit.
