Enjoy a Disney classic: “Lilo and Stitch” under the stars while floating in your inner tube! Hopkins Pool will re-open at 8:30 pm and the movie will begin at 8:45 pm. Please note that the wading pool, diving well, and slides will not be open during this event. The fee is the price of twilight pool admission ($4) or a season pool pass. DeKalb County is planning to pave the County’s recreation path between the County cemetery at Michaels Craft Store and the DeKalb Nature Trail. The work on this 0.34 mile path will begin on Thursday, July 7th with surface milling at the ends of the County path followed by a bituminous prime coat. The new hot mix asphalt surface will be placed on Friday, July 8th. The County path will be closed on Thursday and Friday. On Friday, the DeKalb Nature Trail will be used to access the County path south of Greenwood Acres Drive and will be closed for use during that day only. Questions concerning the project may be addressed to the County Engineer at 815-756-9513.
