On March 12, 2015, the DeKalb Police Department was notified that a teacher’s aide at Huntley Middle School, in DeKalb, had inappropriately touched two separate students. The minor victims are under the age of thirteen years old and attended the early childhood program at Huntley Middle School. A witness observed Andrew Arison rubbing the genitalia area of one of the minors and making rubbing motions near the genitalia area of another minor. Both of these incidents occurred on March 11, 2015.
The DeKalb Police Department located Andrew Arison in Sycamore. Arison was transported to the DeKalb Police Station where he was interviewed. The interview with Arison corroborated the witness’s account of Arison inappropriately touching the two minors. The touching of the minors were done for sexual gratification.
The DeKalb Police Department has reason to believe that Arison has sexually abused more minors. The DeKalb Police Department continues to investigate and anticipate more charges forthcoming.
The DeKalb Police were assisted by the Sycamore Police Department. A search of Arison’s residence was conducted in Sycamore. The evidence collected from Arison’s residence is being evaluated by the Sycamore Police Department.
Arison has worked for several different school districts in DeKalb County. If you have any information in regards to this investigation or know of any other victims, please contact the DeKalb Police Department.
Andrew J. Arison, 36 years of age, 1700 block of Maness Court in Sycamore, was charged with three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Arison is currently incarcerated at the DeKalb County Jail. Arison’s bond is set at $500,000 dollars.

I also know that people have gotten extremely hurt because it ended up there were circumstances that were not actual evidence. This is a tragedy. For you to slam somebody in public, is extremely immature and the fact that you take this personally who’s to say you haven’t done it yourself??? You see it’s easy to say something bad about somebody, so make sure you look in a mirror first and repeat it back to yourself what you’re going to say. It’s sad how you talk about others you don’t know, do you walk in their shoes? If so then you can talk. It starts with how we conduct ourselves as adults and that includes on these post. I did not know this man personally, but, I do know that he taught my children. None of us were there, this is very shocking, and it’s terrible when somebody makes a horrible move like this!!!! What we need to do right now, is pray for those families of the children involved, and pray for the teacher himself as difficult as this sounds. Being positive and setting a good example outweighs negativity and harshness. Equals a better community.

This guy lived right behind our house plenty of kids play in our neighborhood. And we have 5 kids of our own. So glad he was caught. And I pray for the families affected including his. I hope they get the help they need to overcome this. Since this man has scared these small children with his actions.
