Stage Coach Players (SCP) will continue to give a helping hand to local food banks this summer by collecting food and household items for local food banks while giving away fabric if you are looking to create your own masks. The SCP Community Outreach Committee will be collecting items every Tuesday during May. SCP members will be at the theatre from 4 to 6 p.m. and be held in the theatre’s back parking lot. The address is 126 S. 5th Street in DeKalb.
With so many people still in need, SCP will be accepting household and non-perishable food items during the month of May for the following area food banks: Hinckley Area Food Pantry, May 4, 2021; Rochelle Christian Pantry, May 11, 2021; DeKalb County Community Gardens, May 18, 2021; and Barb Food Mart, May 25, 2021. SCP will be accepting boxed, canned, and plastic containers. Please no glass containers.
In addition, during the month of May, SCP will also be partnering with the Paralysis Recovery Foundation to collect gently used shoes for developing countries.
