(DeKalb) – Curious about sourdough but not sure where to start? DeKalb Public Library’s Sourdough 101 is an introductory program that breaks down the basics of this popular bread: from what a starter is and how to care for it, to the simple science behind fermentation. On Thursday, March 5, you’ll learn beginner-friendly techniques, common troubleshooting tips, and how to bake your first loaf with confidence.
This program is free to attend. Registration is not required. Intended for adults. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the lower-level Bilder Family Meeting Room.
