SCHOOL OF ESTHETICS

Our Esthetics Program incorporates 750 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on experience to provide you with the skills required to work in the beauty and spa industry. Below is just a sample of some of the exciting things you will learn at Debutantes:

ESTHETICS CURRICULUM

At Debutantes you will learn all of the skills required to become a licensed
Esthetician. The following is a breakdown of our 750 hour curriculum:

Basic Training – 75 hours of classroom instruction in general theory and practical application. Completion of this training is required prior to practicing on the public

Scientific Concepts – 150 hours of classroom instruction

Practices and Procedures – 500 hours of instruction, a combination of classroom instruction and clinical application,

Business Practices – 25 hours of classroom instruction

Internship Program – May be substituted for 75 hours of the 750 hours

INSTRUCTOR EDUCATION

ESTHETICS INSTRUCTOR CURRICULUM

Debutantes School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology will prepare you to
become an Illinois Certified Esthetics Instructor. The 750 hour program is broken
down as follows:

250 hours of Post-Graduate School Training (Hours can be substituted with
two or more years of practical experience)

20 hours of Educational Psychology

20 hours of Teaching Methods (Theory)

150 hours of Application of Teaching Methods.

50 hours of Business Methods

260 hours of Student Teaching under the on-site supervision of an Illinois licensed teacher

The approved program for a 500 hour Teacher Training Course shall be based upon
2 years of practical experience
