You are invited to the Rescues & Runways fashion show featuring adoptable dogs from TAILS Humane Society strutting along side models wearing fashions from Maurices’ clothing store. The show will be held this Saturday, November 13, at 2pm at the new TAILS Training and Veterinary Center at 2270 Barber Greene Road in DeKalb.
No reservations are needed to attend this show of casual, work, evening, and plus size fall and winter clothing along with shoes and accessories. Admission is free but bins will be available for donations of supplies, toys, treats and money. These donations will earn attendees raffle tickets to enter into the “Everything a Girl Loves” raffle basket, with gift cards and items donated by area business. TAILS’ wish list is on their website. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by maurices.
“We are excited to partner with Maurices for this creative and fun event”, said Michelle Groeper, TAILS Assistant Executive Director. “We have lots of little Heidi Klum’s and Giselle’s waiting for their chance in the spotlight. Of course they’re all hoping to be discovered by their Forever Families who will pamper them like the supermodels they are.”
Clothing modeled in the show will be available at Maurices, 2451 Sycamore Road in DeKalb. All of the dogs in the show can be adopted at TAILS, just across the parking lot. TAILS also has cats and little animals waiting for homes.
More than 750 Maurices’ locations across the United States are partnering with humane societies to increase pet adoptions through pet-themed fashion shows. For more information about the show, call Maurices at 815-758-5688. To see adoptable pets, visit TAILS at 2250 Barber Greene Road in DeKalb or see their website.
