This weekend is Pumpkin Pickin’ Weekend at Jonamac Orchard (October 18-19th, 2014). Jonamac’s 12 acre pumpkin patch is full of pumpkins ranging in all different shapes and sizes. Catch a hayride to pick your own, now 2 for $10 on any pumpkins from the patch (minimum purchase $10) while they last. There will also be wheelbarrows available to help you haul your pumpkins back. Pre-picked pumpkins also available in the Pumpkin Corral near the Kettle Corn Barn
See the Pumpkin Howitzer launch pumpkins clear across our field and watch the pumpkins splatter in the firing range hundreds of feet away!
Pony Rides will be available on Saturday and Sunday by the Petting Zoo Barn, and on Sunday enjoy live music by the Wooden Rockers from noon to 4 pm. As usual their Store and Bakery is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Come into the store for some Fresh Pressed Apple Cider or even an Apple Cider Slushie! Jonamac’s apple cider is made with 100% pure apples with no added sugar or preservatives, and has a taste that can’t be beat! Come try some this weekend, and also try a sample of their new Apple Wine! (1-4pm Sat and Sun)
Come visit Jonamac’s Haunted Corn Maze if you dare! Open this Friday and Saturday night from sunset to 10:00 pm. Their 10 acre cornfield and 3 miles of winding pathways will take on a Halloween makeover and will cater to families during daylight hours, but watch out… adventure seekers should prepare to be scared when they challenge the maze during the Haunting! Adding to the natural spookiness of rustling cornstalks and unlit pathways, the second half of the maze will become inhabited with haunters of all sorts, chainsaws, a graveyard, and other shocking surprises. Flashlights will not be allowed in the Haunted Maze, only glowsticks or pen lights are permitted.
