The City of Sycamore is seeking a Part-time Ordinance Officer for Property Maintenance within the Police Department. The Part-time Ordinance Officer reports directly to the Support Services Sergeant. This position is created and governed by City Code and City policies and shall comply with Federal, State and Local rules and regulations governing the position.
The position of Ordinance Officer provides a variety of non-emergency services to the community and Police Department; informing citizens about local ordinance issues; providing information and assistance; and other public service tasks related to property maintenance.
Minimum qualifications required:
• High School graduation is required.
• Valid Driver’s License
This is a non-exempt, part-time AFSCME Local 3957 position under the direct supervision of the Support Services Sergeant that requires 20-25-hour workweek. The starting pay is $22.58 an hour. Candidates must meet the 20-mile residency requirement.
