They’re back!! Well, not quite yet. This Thursday, August 23rd is the beginning of NIU Welcome Days, welcoming NIU students back to DeKalb. NIU volunteers will be helping move students in to the dorms from 9-3 on Thursday so DeKalb residents have learned to stay away from the West end of town on this busy day.
Family Fest, a resource fair to learn more about the wonderful services available
on campus goes on Thursday from 4-5pm Thursday. Then from 5-7 pm all are invited to Taste of Northern on the Huskie Stadium’s West lawn. A Taste of Northern is a fantastic opportunity for new students and their families to experience what NIU and the DeKalb community have to offer. Students, their families, NIU faculty and staff, and community members are all invited to partake in the fun and lively atmosphere. Attendees can meet new students, enjoy live entertainment (including the NIU Marching Band!), and eat delicious food from DeKalb area vendors.
