Beginning Monday January 30, 2017 and throughout February 2017, DeKalb Park District staff will be removing vines and pruning back invasive and undesirable woody shrubs along the Nature Trail.
The work will be performed between the hours of 7:30am and 3:00pm, Monday-Friday.
No live trees will be removed as a part of this pruning operation, though some dead ash trees may be cut. Work will begin at 1st Street and proceed to the east.

I hope it’s not the ‘pruning’ style used a few years ago. The area has still not recovered.

The press release indicates they won’t do that again, “No live trees will be removed as a part of this pruning operation, though some dead ash trees may be cut.”
