The DeKalb County Veterans Assistance Commission will be hosting the DeKalb Chamber Of Commerce After Hours on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the DeKalb County Outreach Building, 2500 North Annie Glidden Road. Assisting will be the DeKalb County Local Emergency Planning Committee and Nestle Rock Tenn.
The DeKalb County Veterans Assistance Commission provides assistance with claims to the Veterans Administration for such benefits as Service Connected Compensation, Pension, Aid & Attendance, Health Care, GI Home Loans, Education, Counseling, Employment, Transportation to VA Hospitals in Madison & Milwaukee Wisconsin and Burial Benefits or for any other benefits the Veteran may be seeking. They also provide for eligible DeKalb County Veterans, payment assistance toward Shelter, Utilities and Food to which payment levels are established by the Department of Public Aid.
Come and see their new office location. Please let your veteran employees know so that they can come with and visit with one of our Service Officers and set an appointment for finding out more about veteran benefits that they may be eligible for.
