Enjoy the sights and sounds of old time cars in DeKalb tonight starting at about 6pm. This is a fun way to see the classics in action doing what they do best: Crusin’. Enjoy spending time with your friends and family checking out the unique paint jobs, fancy rims and old school styles. It is going to be a revin’ good time in downtown DeKalb tonight.
Then at 7pm, starts one of the greatest American traditions of all time; a hometown parade. This event is part of Kishwaukee Fest and is one of the first parades created to celebrate the uniqueness of DeKalb County. This night time parade gives an opportunity to create a family night out.
The Lincoln Highway Parade celebrates the return of the Drum and Bugle Corps to DeKalb and the wonderful Downtown area. Come out and see all the excitement during this wonderful evening parade. Don’t miss the Street Dances featuring ‘WIRED’ in front of the Egyptian theatre and ‘Skinny Lombard’ in front of Eduardo’s Mexican Restaurant. STROKER RED will be playing at O’Leary’s Restaurant. Enjoy an ice cream and cake social as well as the Street Dance near the Egyptian theatre immediately following the parade. Downtown DeKalb will be rockin’ tonight, don’t miss it!!
