Anyone who is considering attending Kishwaukee College—whether to earn a certificate, pursue an associate’s degree, or to take preparatory GED or ELL courses—can benefit from attending the Kishwaukee College Visit Day this coming Monday, February 18th. Visit Day is a great opportunity to see the College, explore their new Student Center, meet with campus professionals, learn about student support services, and discover academic options. By attending Visit Day, you will be able to receive a more comprehensive look at the College than you would on an everyday tour.
Visit Day is intended to provide you with information about Kishwaukee College—it is not an orientation or registration event. If you decide to attend Kishwaukee College, you will need to attend a separate summer orientation, at which time you would register for courses. Registration is easy! Simply complete an RSVP form. By filling out this form, you will speed up your check-in process and give yourself more time to visit the informational fair. There is no charge to attend.
Visit Day will be a conference-style event, allowing you to select from 2-3 different session options for each timeslot. This flexible schedule will allow you to customize your day and select the sessions that will most benefit you. Attend sessions with your entire group, or split up to cover more ground! Check-in concludes at 10:15 a.m.; you must be checked in by then to have the full range of session options.
Sessions topics include:
GED course offerings
Support services for adult students
Transfer information for students interested in transferring to a four-year school
Career program information
Financial aid tips and information
Campus tours
Academic support services and student success tips
Informational fair and more.
Once you arrive, park in the “A” lot (closest to Lincoln Highway/Route 38). No parking pass is required. Enter through the door labeled “Conference Center.” Check in at the desk, and then visit the informational fair in the Atrium before attending the Visit Day sessions. Visit Kishwaukee College’s website to learn more.
