KishHealth System announced today that it received the 2014 Truven Health Analytics Advantage Award in Health and Clinical Outcomes.
The award was presented on April 30, 2014, by Mike Boswood, Truven Health Analytics president and CEO, during the annual gathering of Truven Health customers, the Advantage Conference, in Orlando, Florida. The Advantage Awards recognize hospitals, health plans, government agencies, and employers that use data analytics to improve the quality of care and business results.
KishHealth System was recognized for extraordinary improvements in health and clinical outcomes for its patients. KishHealth System implemented a computerized quality surveillance/reporting software system in 2011 and at the same time they began changing the overall care delivery across the organization. The approach incorporated evidence based practice, implementation of quality surveillance, and changing of job responsibilities. With the use of Truven’s innovative tracking system, KishHealth System has been able to transform the way we monitor care for our population.

These nurses work in conjunction with the unit staff and physicians to assure all evidence based practice/process guidelines are met in the specified populations, which ultimately improves outcomes. We have been hitting evidence based practice indicators in several specific care sets at 100% consistently.”
