Alan Wan, DO
Dr. Wan was inspired to become a physician because of his grandfather’s battle with cancer. “Going through the cancer treatment process with my grandfather opened my eyes as to how things were done and I wanted to better that system,” stated Dr. Wan. “Oncology care is all about the patients and melding two things together; their understanding of the disease process as well as their cultural background. I view each patient as a partner in his or her healthcare. I provide my patients with information that they need to actively make decisions and give input about their care.”
Dr. Wan graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2008. He completed his Chief Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois in 2014. Dr. Wan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
