The Kishwaukee College Continuing Education Department has released its Spring 2016 semester Schedule of Courses book in an online-only format.
Each semester, the Continuing Education Department offers a wide array of classes to community residents who want to stay current in their career, update their technology skills, enroll in a short term career program, or simply engage in some fun classes for personal growth and development. The CE Schedule of Courses has typically been printed each semester and mailed to district residents. In recent years, the book has also been available in an online format on the Kishwaukee College website. The online copy includes pages that can be “turned” as well as a search feature.
Kayte Hamel, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Kishwaukee College, stated, “In cooperation with Continuing Education, we decided that, with the current state of the Illinois budget, going online was a reasonable cost-saving measure. As a public institution, we feel an additional responsibility to our community members to be financially responsible. Going online is one way to accomplish that goal.”
