The Kishwaukee College Continuing Education department is once again offering the popular Kish-U-Pick all-day art, science, and technology camp during the week of June 18 – 22. The camp is for students who will be entering grades 4, 5, and 6. The registration deadline is June 11.
Kish-U-Pick is built around the campers’ choice of activities, creating a week-long experience unique to each participant. There are three sessions each day: morning (8:45 – 10:45a.m.), mid-day (11:30a.m. – 1:30p.m.), and afternoon (1:45 – 3:45p.m.). There is a lunch break for campers to enjoy their sack lunches from 10:45- 11:30a.m. Campers and their parents have the flexibility to select an activity during each session time for the week and can choose to spend the whole day at Kish-U-Pick or choose to attend one or two session times for the week.
Activities that campers may choose from include: Game On! (classic strategy board games), Clay Creations (ceramics and pottery), What’s Inside? (take apart electronic items), Digital Photography, Outdoor Cooking Adventures (campfire and coal cooking plus more), Take A Bow (theater), Be A Rockstar! (music video production), All Wired Up (creating jewelry), and Green Screen (using green screen technology in video production). All camp sessions involve hands-on experiences with adult instructors.
The cost for the full week of Kish-U-Pick is $175. Cost for individual sessions is $77. Some sessions may include supplemental fees to cover the cost of supplies and materials specific to that activity.
