The Kishwaukee College Continuing Education Department is offering online courses to help area high school students prepare for the SAT college entrance exams. The course, offered through partnership with nationally recognized Ed2Go, will begin December 14. The course will also be available in early 2017 with start dates of January18 and February 15.
The online SAT Test Preparation course will include two parts: Part 1 covers Reading, Writing, English and Science and Part 2 covers Math. The SAT – which is the entrance exam that will be administered at Illinois high schools this year – had a change in both the Verbal and Math questions in March 2016. The online course is designed to prepare students for those changes.
The online course is an excellent option for students who want to get the best preparation for the SAT exam but also are involved in extracurricular activities or hold part-time jobs in addition to their studies. An online course allows students to log in and complete the course work at their own pace and on a day and time that is convenient for their busy schedules. The cost for the entire course is $174; the cost for students opting to register for only one of the available sessions is $109.
