The City of DeKalb’s Street Maintenance Project is underway. South 2nd Street from Franklin Street to north of Taylor Street is scheduled for brick maintenance. The contractor will be pulling bricks to repair the base and level bricks.
Also scheduled is the replacement of various sections of curb and gutter. Various sections of curb and gutter are constructed of sandstone and will be difficult to replace. The City is considering several options and would like input from residents. Please join Alderman Patrick Fagan and City staff this Saturday, July 8, at 10:00 A.M for a public meeting at City Hall, 200 South 4th Street in Council Chambers on the second floor.
