National Issues Forum: Immigration in America
September 19, 2018, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
DeKalb Public Library, Yusunas Meeting Room
Organizers: Samantha Hathaway, Tracy Rogers-Tryba
For centuries, a steady influx of people from other countries has helped make the United States a nation comprised of immigrants. Today, many people are asking questions about the country’s immigration policies—important questions that we need to consider together.
This forum will discuss this national issue and various courses of action that can be taken to alleviate the problem. All participants must remain respectful and courteous of others’ opinions and ideas. The discussion will be led by trained professional Tracy Rogers-Tryba.
The forum is entirely free and required no registration to attend. Below are materials and literature about this issue that will be used during the forum. You do not need to read these materials prior to the event, but are welcome to do so if it is helpful.
