Harrison St. Fire Last Night Controlled Quickly

The DeKalb Fire Department responded to a report of a garage fire last night at 132 Harrison St. in DeKalb. On arrival, fire companies found a detached garage fully involved with fire with nearby exposures. Fire crews made a quick attack with multiple hand lines. The fire was brought under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Two houses were protected from fire spread. A garage and shed on an adjacent property suffered minimal damage as did 2 vehicles parked near the garage. The area of origin was the garage with the cause of the fire still under investigation by the DeKalb Fire Investigators.
