Guns and ammo are returning to the sales floor at most Walmart stores.
No firearms were on display at the DeKalb Walmart as of Friday morning and the shelves were empty of ammunition. That was after Walmart announced it was moving the items off its sales floors because of civil unrest earlier in the week that resulted in damage to stores.
But ABC News is now reporting that Walmart says the incidents have remained geographically isolated, so it is deciding to return the products to its sales floors.
According to a store employee at the Plano Walmart, guns and ammo were pulled some time ago for what they called a merchandising decision – not related to any potential unrest.
Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Sycamore had made no changes in how they sell ammunition as of Friday morning. The store does not sell firearms.
The Corporate Office for Rural King said there would be no changes to gun sales.
