St. George Greek Orthodox Church is hosting their annual Greek Fest this weekend, Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 from 11am-8pm at a new location, St. Mary’s Church in DeKalb at the corner of Pine and Fourth Streets.
This popular community event features authentic Greek food, pastries, music and live Greek dance performances. Most of the food is prepared by the areas Greek owned restaurants using recipes brought over from Greece that have been passed down through generations. New this year is the option to dine indoors as well as the option to purchase Greek wine and beer, furnished by Inbodens.
Local art vendors will sell their wares at the event.. The entire community is invited to come out the exciting new location and enjoy great food in a fun, family-friendly environment. All foods are available for carry out and plenty of seating is available at the event as well. There is no admission to attend the festival; food is cooked fresh throughout the day.
