The event will feature a grilled on-site meal by Inboden’s, a cash bar, live music, a silent auction, and even a little taste of adventure. Tickets are $40 per person, which includes your meal, entertainment and two drink tickets. Upstream Financial Services and Castle Bank are both proud sponsors of Barn-B-Que. Proceeds will support their mission of assisting youth in overcoming challenges and becoming healthy adults through adventure-based counseling.
About Adventure Works: is a nonprofit outdoor behavioral health organization for at-risk youth. Weekly group therapy sessions are clinically led, utilizing the natural environment and adventure-based experiences to promote positive changes in behavior, develop coping skills, and improve mental wellness. Adventure Works specializes in working with at-risk youth to overcome challenges related to childhood trauma, behavioral, emotional, and mental health issues, and to help them become healthy adults. Though they are able to bill some insurance companies, services are provided regardless of ability to pay.
Adventure Works’ “office” is outdoors. Archery, canoeing, hiking, climbing, wilderness survival skills, and orienteering are some of the tools they use to provide experiences that foster personal and social responsibility and emotional growth. The Adventure Works advantage? Kids WANT to come to counseling and routinely average a nearly 90% attendance rate—making AW a great alternative for youth who have not had success in a traditional counseling setting.
Founded in 2010, Adventure Works’ mission is to assist youth in overcoming challenges and becoming healthy adults through adventure-based counseling.
