The Sycamore History Museum staff is hard at work getting ready for their newest exhibit, “General Dutton’s America.” Plan to come to this month’s Brown Bag Lunch this Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 for a preview of the exhibit. During this preview, visitors will be introduced to the three main sections featured in the exhibit – Sycamore as a pioneer town, Sycamore and the Civil War, and Sycamore in the Gilded Age. The story will all be presented through the eyes of General Dutton. The exhibit will open to the public on Saturday, April 26.
The General Sutton’s America Preview event at the museum’s Brown Bag Lunch will be held at the DeKalb County Community Foundation’s Freight Room, 475 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore at noon this Thursday. The event is free but donations to the Sycamore Museum are always welcome.
