Downtown Robbery / Theft from Person

Over the past 12 hours the DeKalb Police Department has investigated the report of one robbery and one theft from person. The robbery occurred last night, at approximately 11:30PM, in the 600 block of S. 1st Street. The theft from person occurred today, at approximately 11:30AM, in the 100 block of S. 3rd Street. The crimes are potentially linked to one another. At this time the suspect(s) have not been apprehended. The investigations into these crimes are ongoing.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, about 5’08” in height, short black hair. In today’s incident the suspect was wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts.The DeKalb Police Department Recommends the Following Safety Tips to Citizens:
