This Sunday, September 9th, is Kirkland’s Lion’s Club Disc Golf Tournament at Pioneer Park in Kirkland. This is a Professional Disk Golf Association (PDGA) sanctioned tournament. Come play two rounds of 20 holes at a scenic disk course, with large trees and hedges. The Course winds around a large pond and along the Kishwaukee River.
There will be trophies for 1st and 2nd place in each division plus other cash prizes and raffles. Entry fees vary upon division ($15 – $50). On site registration will be from 8 – 9:45 at the shelter at Pioneer Park. Shotgun Start at 10am. Ace Pool $5 and 50/50 tickets are $5. Putting Contest to follow tournament.
Kirkland’s Disk Golf Course is located in Pioneer Park, 100 W. North St. in Kirkland, Il.. From I88; north on Annie Glidden to left on 72 West, right on Pearl St. over RR tracks to 1st left on North St. Lunch will be available on site. Proceeds benefit Blind, Deaf and Community Projects.
