Creole Stomp travels the country carrying the long tradition of Mississippi River valley Creole music to audiences. This band has not only captured the attention of Louisiana music fans across the United States and Canada, but is also legendary on the Blues and Roots circuit for it’s marathon performances featuring a mix of Swamp pop and traditional dance tunes.
Informally known as “The Grateful Dead of Creole Music” Creole Stomp features Swamp Pop, Cajun, Zydeco and Louisiana Creole music led by French speaking Creole accordionist and fiddler, Dennis Stroughmatt. Creole Stomp is filled with over achieving Phd’s and Master’s Degrees, incidentally making it one of the most educated bands in traditional music. But no worries, Creole Stomp is a band that knows how to throw a Louisiana party. See Creole Stomp live this Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 8pm at the Sandwich Opera House.
