Through their community kitchen, Feed’em Soup offers weekly dinner services each Wednesday night and monthly brunches on the 4th Sunday of each month featuring fresh ingredients locally sourced as often as possible on a “donate if you can” basis. Aimed at aiding struggling families, seniors and individuals, Feed’em Soup’s services are open to all. Those that are able to may leave a small donation to cover the cost of food, those that are not, eat at no charge and are covered by the donations of others. This service provides not only a healthy dinner option, it also provides a restaurant quality environment that serves our community with dignity and respect.
This holiday season Feed’em Soup will provide dinners on Christmas Day and New Years Day as well as a Sunday brunches on the 4th Sunday of December. These menus will feature all the fixin’s made fresh in their kitchen and available to guests at no cost. Feed’em Soup estimates this will provide 2,000 to 2,500 plates of fresh hot food for our local community here in DeKalb.
Holiday Meal Schedule:
Sunday Brunch December 22nd: 10am – 2pm
Christmas Day Dinner December 25th: 4pm – 6pm
New Years Day Dinner January 1st: 5pm – 7pm
Feed’em Soup has set a goal to raise $2,500 between today and January 1st to help offset the food costs for the holiday meals. For every $10 that is donated, 5 plates of food will can be served. The requested funding also includes supplies and expenses in conjunction with meals such as napkins, paper towels, dish soap, electric and natural gas to cook/heat with, etc. For a more comprehensive break down, please do not hesitate to contact them.
