The DeKalb Citizens’ Environmental Commission (CEC) has extended the deadline to
nominate local residents or organizations for the PRIDE Award to November 27, 2017.
PRIDE Awards recognize local residents, organizations, and/or businesses that have
significantly improved the quality of life in DeKalb through projects, activities, or
programs emphasizing resource conservation, energy efficiency, beautification, waste
reduction, or similar environmental improvements. Those conducting projects or
programs aimed at increasing public awareness and knowledge of specific
environmental issues are also eligible for the consideration of a PRIDE Award.
To nominate an individual, organization, or business in DeKalb for a PRIDE Award,
please visit the City of DeKalb website at www.cityofdekalb.com and complete the
nomination form. Completed nominations may be sent by regular mail, email, fax, or
hand delivered to:

The deadline for receipt of nominations is 4:00 p.m. on November 27, 2017.
The CEC shall make the final selection. Awards will be presented by the Chair of the
Commission at the DeKalb City Council in December.
