Saturday morning soccer is a long tradition in Sycamore. Just go out to the Park District soccer fields from August – October and you will see hundreds of children participating in soccer and just as many parents cheering them on throughout the day. Why and how did soccer become such an important part of our community? Join Linda Liska, John and Kathy Sherman, and Steven Sapita during this program as they explore the past, present and future of the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization).
The Sycamore History Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch will be held at the DeKalb County Community Foundation’s Freight Room, this Thursday, November 7th, from noon to 1pm. The DeKalb County Community Foundation’s building is at 475 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore. The event is free and open to the public. Donations to the Sycamore History Museum are always welcome.
