Public vote can earn the local dance school a visit from a professional film crew!
The Beth Fowler School of Dance Performing Group recently competed in their 2nd regional dance competition of this 2016 season. This past weekend on April 30th – May 1st they competed in the Rainbow National Dance Competition in Milwaukee WI which was a competition with 381 teams. Beth Fowler’s Intermediate group and Advanced group both took 1st place over all in each of their age divisions. This includes 1st place winnings in all of the following categories:
Large Advanced Group Category- “Circus” choreographed by faculty member Brooke Fowler.
Large Intermediate Group Category – “Wind It Up” choreographed by faculty member Brooke Fowler.
Senior Trio Category- “Come Home”- choreographed by faculty member Hannah Bohn
Teen Trio Category – “Move” choreographed by faculty member Brooke Fowler.
Teen Advanced Solo Category– Cameron Holst’s solo, “Mean” choreographed by Brooke Fowler.
At the end of the weekend, the four largest awards were given over all for the “Dancer of the Year” the “Best Video of the Year” the “Highest Points Award” and the “Most Entertaining Award.” The largest surprise to the Beth Fowler dancer’s was when the Beth Fowler School of Dance was announced the winner of all four awards! This includes, Cameron Holst of Marengo the ”Dancer of the Year” and “Circus” Choreographed by Brooke Fowler received the “Most Entertaining Award.” “Circus” was also the winner for two national nominations. The “Highest Point Award” which is an opportunity to perform at a celebrity event in Hollywood, and the “Best Video of the Year Award,” which is the opportunity to have a professional film crew come to the Beth Fowler School of Dance to film a RainbowDanceTV Youtube episode! “Circus” was selected as the winner from the Milwaukee Regional Competition and will go up against the other winners from the other cities.
The public can participate by placing their vote online through the Rainbow Dance Competition official website www.rainbowdance.com. On their website under “competitions” you will need to click on “contests.” Voting is good thru Wednesday, May 11 th at noon! There they can watch a minute video of the dancer’s performance and cast their vote by clicking “vote.” “Circus” has won 1 st Place at every competition it has entered this year. Please help out by casting your vote!
With Cameron Holst’s Regional win as “Dancer of the Year,” she now qualifies to compete with her solo “Mean” Nationally for the title of Best Dancer of the Year Nationally.

Taylor Donzelli- 9 th Place “Kill the Lights” choreographed by Hannah Bohn
Beth Fowler School of Dance just started competing in 2013 and has taken 1st place over all every year. All Beth Fowler competitive dancers have received their dance training from the Beth Fowler School of Dance. The dance school’s program focuses on training dancers for excellent technique as well as performance artistry. This training has enabled the dancers to secede at a high level of competition in a short time.
The Beth Fowler School of Dance presents 3 dance productions a year at the Egyptian Theatre and has an additional Performing Group for community events and competitions as a bonus performing opportunity. All students have the opportunity to learn the skills needed for the competitive style of dance even if they do not wish to compete, through a class offered at the school titled, “Jazz Turns and Tricks.”
