Bank Robbery Suspect Sought

On July 22, 2016 at approximately 4:12PM, the DeKalb Police Department received a 911 call from the 5/3 Bank in DeKalb reporting that the bank was robbed by a male wearing a mask. 5/3 Bank is located in the 2700 block of Sycamore Road. Officers from the DeKalb Police Department immediately responded to the area, secured the scene and began searching for the suspect.

The subsequent investigation revealed that a male, black, approximately 6’02-6’04, medium build wearing a wolf mask, red hat, blue jeans and a long sleeve blue shirt entered the bank armed with a gun. The armed suspect demanded money from the clerk, climbed over the counter and stole United States Currency. The suspect was last seen running W/B from the bank. The employees at the bank were not injured.

The suspect is unknown and at large at this time. The DeKalb Police Investigators are following up on several leads. The DeKalb Police Department would encourage anyone having information regarding this case to contact our Detective Division, Crime Stoppers, or utilize “I Watch” app on your smart phone if you have any information.
