The Sycamore Fire Department is officially moving into its new Fire Station #1, and the community is invited to be part of this exciting milestone.
On Tuesday, February 17, emergency vehicles will depart Old Station #1 (535 DeKalb Ave.) at 9:00 AM and travel to the new facility located at 1351 S. Prairie Drive. The department anticipates arriving at approximately 9:10 AM, where a brief flag-raising and station ceremony will take place as the new station officially goes into service.
Parade Route Information
The procession will follow the designated route from Old Station #1 through town before heading south to the new facility on S. Prairie Drive.
Please note:
- The parade is intended for emergency vehicles only.
- Community members are welcome to line the route and watch as the department drives by.
- Due to the expected number of pedestrians, vehicle access to the new station’s parking lot will be limited to authorized vehicles only.
This move marks an important step forward for the Sycamore Fire Department as it continues to serve the community with enhanced facilities and expanded capabilities.
