Grief Support Group

Join others going through grief and loss and receive support in a safe and confidential setting with the facilitation from Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Lee Scott of Elder Care Services. In this ongoing grief support group, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with grief, receive insight from peers and the facilitator on the grieving process, and learn more about grief. Ferdinand Lee Barnett & Ida B. Wells: Chicago’s Early Voices of Change

After their marriage in 1895, Ferdinand Lee Barnett and Ida B. Wells became early leaders in the civil rights movement. Barnett went on to become the first black assistant state’s attorney in Illinois. Wells served as one of the founding members of the NAACP and was active in the women’s suffrage movement. During this program, we will examine the monumental achievements of this couple on their tireless quest for equality. This program is free and intended for teens and adults.
