Open Door received a Grant for a Lift Systems, as stated by Rita Potter, the Executive Director at Open Door Rehabilitation Center, presenting the check was board member Amie Carey of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The $10,000 Community Needs Grant will support the purchase of portable lift systems, slings, arm-reach bars, and batteries for DeKalb County clients who utilize wheelchairs. This equipment will ensure safety while re-positioning clients gently and securely, reducing the risk of injury to caregivers and clients.
