With the help of the entire community, the “Shoe Share” program will provide gently worn gym shoes to children, youth and young adults who are in need of a pair of gym shoes. The Kiwanis Family will be assisting in sorting, organizing and distributing shoes during the event.
Additionally, in part with donations made by the Health Department staff, the Northern Illinois Food Bank will have their mobile food pantry onsite at the health department with food distribution from 9 to 11am. Please bring bags or boxes to package your food. Please keep in mind food is distributed on a first-come, first served basis, while supplies last.
Fresh produce will also be distributed while supply lasts through the DeKalb County Community Gardens’ Grow Mobile.
