Kishwaukee College has several courses that begin the week of March 20 for the second half of the spring semester. The eight-week courses are credit-bearing and offer a unique opportunity for area residents to explore a program, complete required courses or prerequisites, or simply get an early start on a program or on their educational plans for the summer or fall terms. Whatever the reason, registration is now in progress for the second-half courses at Kishwaukee College.
Late start courses being offered on campus this spring include: CIS 105 – Intro to Microsoft Windows; EST 100 – Introduction to Esthetics; HLT 122 – Introduction to Nutrition; MAT 065 – Elementary Algebra I; MAT 066 – Elementary Algebra II; MAT 085 – Intermediate Algebra I; MAT 086 – Intermediate Algebra II; NUR 100 – Basic Nurse Assistant Training; PE 109 – Volleyball; PE 214 – Basketball Officiating; WT 128 – Oxyfuel Welding/Cutting; and WT 258 – TIG Welding. In addition, HOR 201 – Sustainable Fruit/Vegetable Production I begins April 11.
There are also online courses available that begin the week of March 20, including: CSD 101 – Career Planning; ENG 111 – College Study Skills; ENG 217 – Introduction to Drama; HIS 220 – U.S. History to 1877; HIS 222 – U.S. History since 1877; HLT 122 – Introduction to Nutrition; HLT 201–Human Nutrition; HLT – 206 Contemporary Health Concepts; HUM 129 – Humanities II; OS 127 – Advanced Word Processing/MS Word; and PSY 102 – Introduction to Psychology.
There are three hybrid courses that will begin the second half of the semester as well. Hybrid courses are taught in a combination of online and in-person formats. The three hybrid courses that begin the week of March 20 are CAD 231 – Geometric Dimension and Tolerance; MAT 066 – Elementary Algebra II; and OS 136 – Presentation Graphics/Powerpoint.
