Winter Walk
All Ages • Who comes out when it gets cold? Discover what animals are active during the winter and how they adapt to the cold temperatures. Go on a wintery scavenger hunt as you search for signs of animal activity in the winter. A take home field guide will help you continue your exploration in your own yard! Dress for the weather, this class is held outdoors. Ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Presented by the Midwest Museum of Natural History.

All Ages • This Arbor Day, celebrate the beauty, brawn and benefits of trees! Read a tree’s history by counting its rings while comparing it to your own family’s history. Like your family, discover how different parts of a tree play a part in making it strong. Then, work together to plant a tree in the park that you can come back and visit for years to come.
