New playground equipment is scheduled to be installed at Shipman Park in the late fall. This project is part of the DeKalb Park District playground replacement program that looks to replace older play structures with modern, accessible features. The new equipment will include:
- zip line
- oodle swing
- boogie board
- seesaw

This looks nice. But how come none of the old stuff like a cool slide and swings? I grew up at shipman and it had some of the best equipment like the swinging gate and the tower to climb.
