Beginning Tuesday August 11th, the City’s contracted tree removal company will begin removing dead or hazardous trees throughout the City. All removals should be completed within the next two weeks.
Notifications have been left at residences that will have trees removed. Residents are encouraged call the City’s Street Operations Division at 815-748-2040 with any questions or concerns.

Why is it that they can cut down trees but can’t finish a job they started over two weeks ago on Pleasant St.?

I agree…btw where are the trees that need to be removed, how are they hazardous and why 3 companies to remove trees….its not like we had a natural disaster like fairdale. Are city workers that busy to remove some trees. Im sure the owners of the trees wiuld of gladly removeed them if it meant we didn’t get taxed more for the service
