Wednesday July 29th starting at 6pm, there will be a live webcast with Bernie Sanders, and organizing event. Anyone interested in learning more about Senator Bernie Sanders are encouraged to attend. The event will be held 6 to 8pm at the Unitarian Universalist of DeKalb, 158 North 4th Street in DeKalb. Refreshments will be available.
The gathering will also be an opportunity for those who are interested in income equality, environmental issues, racial justice matters, and peace strategies to discuss ways toward making positive changes for our community, state, and country. There will be time for discussion and planning next steps.
“Sanders supporters and others in the DeKalb, IL area will gather to meet each other, share why they support Bernie and discuss how we can work together to make the positive changes in our area that Bernie is talking about. We will also begin making initial plans how we can help the campaign to succeed, including fundraising and possible field trips to IOWA.” Said Dave Rathke, organizer of the event.
