Baseball and the Civil War Tonight at Sycamore Library

Who the Heck is Abner Doubleday? Baseball and the Civil War…soldiers spent more time playing baseball that they did fighting battles. Professor Allardice takes a sometimes serious, sometimes humorous look at the “National Pastime” and how it was played during the war. Focusing on Sycamore’s own Civil War era baseball team!

Sycamore Library presents this free program open to the public today, Monday, July 21st, from 6-7pm.  The Sycamore Library is located at 103 E. State St. in downtown Sycamore. This will be a great program for adults and children too.
