Bring the kids and join NIU STEM Outreach and the DeKalb County libraries for the Bright Futures – Musical STEM Fair this Tuesday, June 10th, from 5:30-8:00pm at Hopkins Park in DeKalb. The STEM Outreach, the DeKalb Municipal Band and other experts will be participating in a night of free family fun with music, sound, STEM, face-painting, a musical Tesla Coil, and of course, electrocuted hot dogs! The fair will be followed by the DeKalb Municipal Band’s first concert of the season. Kids will delve into hands-on activities that explore the science of music from all angles. Bring an instrument you created to perform with others, then enjoy the opening concert of the DeKalb Municipal Band’s 160th season. This event is for the entire family.
