This will be the 20th Annual Holiday Lights Train put on by Waterman & Western Railroad aka Pete’s Train. These free train rides in Waterman, Illinois make for some great holiday family fun! See 250,000 holiday lights on display. The Holiday lights train will open this Saturday, November 30th, 2013, and will run every weekend in December at Waterman Lions Community Park. There will be hot chocolate and popcorn in the shelter house while you warm at the fire. Souvenirs and Grandpa Coles Fudge are also available.
The train ride will take you past Santa and his reindeer, giant toy soldiers, giant candy canes, streetlights, a snowfall, jumping reindeer angels and much more.
The Holiday Lights Train will run continuously all evening as long as there are people on the train. Santa will arrive on December 6th, 2013. Kids can meet Santa on Fridays 6-8pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 5-7pm after December 6th. There is professional photography available or bring your camera so you don’t miss this great photo opportunity.
The Holiday Lights Train will be open Fridays in December, 5pm – 9pm, Saturdays 4:30-9pm and Sundays 4:30-8pm. Pete’s Train is located at 435 S. Birch St. in Waterman.
*Note: The Holiday Lights train and the Easter Bunny Train will be in Waterman. The Pumpkin train is now in Batavia.
