We are proud to sponsor this gourmet dinner made from local farm and community garden produce to celebrate the 2013 season and help fund the 2014 Community Gardens season to come.
Chef Chad from Tapa La Luna has created a wonderful menu using locally grown food. Craig Mathey will be providing great music. It promises to be a harvest event you will not want to miss.
The DeKalb County Community Gardens now span over 10 acres, over 200 raised beds, producing hundreds of pounds of fresh wholesome food for DeKalb County food pantries, and now also providing vegetables to senior citizens at Colonial House and Heritage Woods, as well as the Voluntary Action Center Meals on Wheels and meal sites.
Please plan to attend and spread the word. Seating is limited. The last Local Flavors Meal drew nearly 100 people, so they hope you plan to attend. Tickets are $45 from DCCG members or call Tapa La Luna. You can reserve your place by calling Tapa La Luna 815-217-0990. The dinner will be held at Tapa La Luna, 226 E. Lincoln Hwy., DeKalb, Illinois 60115.
